Over 700 peoples participated in this year splashfm1055 marathon, which commence her 8th edition INTEGRITY MARATHON RACE on 20-03-2016 AT Liberty stadium ibadan. Whereby there are alot of security Personnel and medical Personnel
Whereby people from Imo, nassarawa, ogun, Ondo, lagos, Osun and oyo state et.al which all participated..
Unfortunately, it was flagged off around 7:30 or 7:45am whereby the sun has been setting on.(it was very painful though.) we were told the CEO of splashfm1055 in person of Chief Adebayo Akande and the Federal ministry of youth & sports commission south west zone in person of (Solomon Dalung but, he was represented by Demola Are) want to give a speech.
Immediately, after the talk, we recited the national anthem and we were ask to move.(i mean the bullet was shot so we could move) right from that place people have been falling down (i think thats normal).
We getting out from the main gate of liberty stadium to start our real journey(it was a 42km race) all the Personnel has been working well, everything was on a steady mode. Water and orange were provided for us in 4-5points till we get to ojoo, heading to iwo road no water to fuel our energy again everyone has been feeling tired/reluctant. And before then i noticed the buses that have been monitoring us are also lifting people (marathoners) from the back bringing them to the front, i was like what's happening.
A friend of my gave it a trial to enter the bus, they told he should remove is number tag(he was like why, said since he wanna enter that means he's tired and his done with is race, he guy quickly come down) but he met some guys they've helped without asking them to remove there tag number..
Funny enough, the lady that made the first position was the one that made the forth position for last year race heard she was always lifted with this same bus and whenever she's approaching the place we were all given hand band she would drop(not that am beefing her o)...
Ojoo was the last place we were given water and orange, from there all those personnel actions has reduced drastically we are only seeing those people with power bike, at a point in time we didn’t see them again till we got to iwo-road where i saw my colleagues (marathoners) that was fainted and people pouring water on him before we called the traffic warders to contact the security to come pick him up.
We were deprived in such away we marathoners were asking people if they have water to fuel our energy. on getting to iwo-road we heard the first 4 has been in the stadium, from there i know this race is a fraud.
As a matter of fact, when i heard the 1st four was there i was soo distress.. Can’t even see no one to direct us and no water to fuel our energy except the 2 power bike rider( they really tried but they can’t handle everything).. I really regret running for the splash FM marathon race.
Moreover, dis not my first time running a marathon..
splashfm1055, must we know u guys before make the top on your race?
Everything is now corrupted, if you dont know anyone, for you to have a solid connection is slim (Only by God grace.)
